🐊🍂 WALLY’S WEDNESDAY SAFETY TIP! 🍂🐊
🔥 SPACE HEATER SAFETY — GET READY FOR COOLER WEATHER! 🔥
🍁 Fall is here, and while Louisiana weather may still have us reaching for the air conditioner one day and a blanket the next, cooler temperatures are right around the corner! 🥶☀️
🚒 Wally wants to remind everyone that NOW is the perfect time to inspect your space heaters BEFORE you need them!
🐊 WALLY'S TOP SPACE HEATER SAFETY TIPS:
📏 THE 3-FOOT RULE! Keep space heaters at least 3 feet away from furniture, curtains, blankets, and anything that can burn.
🔌 PLUG DIRECTLY INTO THE WALL! Never use extension cords or power strips with space heaters.
🔎 INSPECT BEFORE YOU CONNECT! Check for damaged cords, cracked plugs, or signs of wear. If it's damaged, don't use it!
🏠 KEEP IT STABLE! Always place heaters on a flat, level surface where they cannot tip over.
😴 TURN IT OFF! Never leave a space heater running while sleeping or when leaving the room.
🚨 CHECK YOUR SMOKE ALARMS! Working smoke alarms provide an important early warning if a fire occurs.
💚 WALLY'S REMINDER: A warm home should also be a SAFE home! Taking just a few minutes to prepare today could prevent a tragedy tomorrow.
🍁🐊 Let's FALL into good safety habits together!
❤️ From your friends at Little Caillou Fire Department, we want every family in our community to stay warm, prepared, and protected this season!

🐾🚒 OLLIE'S FUN FACT FRIDAY! 🍁🔥
🏡❤️ A Small Device That Can Make a BIG Difference!

🐶 DID YOU KNOW? 💡
Having working smoke alarms in your home can reduce your risk of dying in a home fire by approximately 50%! 😲🚨
That's right! Something as simple as a working smoke alarm could mean the difference between life and death for you and your family.
🍂 As we welcome the fall season, Ollie wants to remind everyone that fire safety starts at HOME!

🚨 OLLIE'S SMOKE ALARM FUN FACTS & SAFETY TIPS:
🏠 LOCATION MATTERS! Install smoke alarms on every level of your home, inside every bedroom, and outside each sleeping area.
🔋 CHECK THOSE BATTERIES! Replace batteries when needed, following the manufacturer's instructions. Never remove a battery just to silence an alarm!
🔊 TEST MONTHLY! Press the test button on your smoke alarms at least once a month to make sure they're working properly.
📅 10-YEAR RULE! Did you know smoke alarms don't last forever? Replace the entire smoke alarm every 10 years!
⏰ EVERY SECOND COUNTS! A working smoke alarm provides early warning, giving your family precious time to escape when a fire occurs.

🐾 OLLIE'S SPECIAL REMINDER: ❤️
A house can be replaced, but the people inside it cannot! Take a few minutes today to make sure your home and loved ones are protected.
🚒 From Ollie and all of us at the Little Caillou Fire Department, we encourage every family in our community to make fire prevention a priority!
🍁 Stay Safe. Stay Prepared. Protect What Matters Most! ❤️🐾
