LOOP is currently working with State and Federal officials to facilitate oil spill recovery efforts for an oil spill that has affected the areas of Raccoon Island, Whiskey Island, Trinity Island and the northern edge of Lake Pelto.

Entergy has announces a planned power outage to replace poles damaged in recent fires. The outage is scheduled to begin Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 9 AM, and will last for most of the day while crews work.

This outage will affect approximately 400 customers from the 2700 block of Hwy 665 to the end of the road.
