Ecumenical Community of Chautauqua

Ecumenical Community of Chautauqua Our spiritual ancestor was the Ministers' Union founded in 1928 by Edmund Westervelt. [email protected]

To provide a spiritual environment where people in ministry, lay people, and those with no proclaimed faith can engage in dialogue, be refreshed and encouraged in their lives. The Ecumenical Community of Chautauqua was founded in 2003 with the vision of providing low-cost housing for clergy, religious workers and lay persons from all faiths groups. His vision, revolutionary at the time, was to pro

vide low-cost housing for clergy and religious workers of all Christian denominations so guests could have the opportunities to learn about each other's experiences and could be renewed in the stimulating atmosphere of Chautauqua. Today the ECOC is OPEN TO ALL and is committed to fostering interfaith conversations and understanding among its residents. It provides a space where people from all faith traditions can share their beliefs and practices in a spirit of openness and respect. Reach out to our registrars for more information about staying and communing with us during our summer season!
