Chris White
It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you that Chris White, our long-time employee, friend, and fellow member died recently.
Chris is survived by her daughter, Ann White of Albany, NY; her brothers, Herbert (Amy) Egert of Venice, FL, and George (Jeannine) Egert of Syosset, NY; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews, who are all deeply feeling her passing.
The memorial service for Christine will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Lind Funeral Home, 805 West Third Street Jamestown, New York 14701 Phone: (716) 664-3800.
Reverend Jay Baehr will lead the service.

Earlier this year, we put part of our Legacy Plan into action by distributing three endowments to select institutions. The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) is already making meaningful use of one IOKDS Endowment, as highlighted in the article linked below.

Nearly 25 years ago, physicians at the University of Mississippi Medical Center treated the victim of a devastating traffic accident. Thanks to her influence with a philanthropic organization, the former patient was able to show her appreciation for the institution that saved her life.

With deep sorrow and heartfelt gratitude, we mourn the passing of Pope Francis. His life of humility, mercy, and unwavering faith was a guiding light for millions. He exemplified Christ’s love and the IOKDS motto: “Look up and not down; Look forward and not back; Look out and not in; Lend a Hand.” Pope Francis is gone into our Father’s house to higher service. We give thanks for his witness and legacy of compassion. Our prayers are with the global Church in this time of mourning.

The first day of the 2024 IOKDS Conference started with a meet and greet tea reception, follow by a soul enriching communion service and we honored past members in with a memorial service. Several members joined the events virtually.
