The Mingo County Commission does not currently have a humane officer on staff. If you have a nuisance complaint (dogs only), please call you local police department (if you live in a municipality) or the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department (residents of unincorporated areas).

When reporting an issue that needs to be addressed by the humane officer, you must call 304-235-0252. We do not accept complaints via e-mail. Thank you.

Again, this page was originally set up to help promote adoption of animals we house at the facility. Since we’ve begun partnering with local rescue groups, we no longer post adoption photos here.

This IS NOT for complaints or requests for pick up. You must call 304-235-0252 for that. If there is no answer, please leave a message and our humane officer will return your call.
