Today, we are heartbroken to remember one of our community’s fiercest advocates. Brooke was an inspiration to us at Rise for ALS Chattanooga, and losing her really hurts.

Brooke Eby made people laugh, then made them listen. She brought people into conversations about ALS they might otherwise have scrolled past. She unabashedly showed the world what living with ALS looked like, and gave so many people facing it someone to recognize themselves in.

We’re thinking of her family, her friends, and everyone who found comfort and connection through her.

Brooke, thank you for everything you shared with this community. We’ll keep saying your name, sharing your work, and pushing for the future you deserved 🤍.

White Duck Taco Shop’s Giveback Day resulted in a $311.25 donation to Rise for ALS Chattanooga, Inc. We’re grateful to White Duck for hosting us and to everyone who came out to support our mission and the local ALS community.

Every dollar matters. Last week, Rise purchased a generator for a Flintstone, GA ALS family so essential medical equipment can keep running during power outages.

Tomorrow begins World FTD Awareness Week. From September 28 through October 4, Rise for ALS Chattanooga, Inc will be joining advocates around the world in putting a spotlight on frontotemporal degeneration, and the connection between FTD and ALS.

Throughout the coming week, we’ll be sharing information about FTD, its symptoms, its connection to ALS, and the families living with both. Awareness matters.

This week, we’re changing our profile picture and helping put FTD in the spotlight 💙.
