Housing is more than a roof. For a single mom in college, it can be the difference between having to drop out and having the stability she needs to keep going.

At The Momentum Network, we’ve seen what happens when a mom no longer has to choose between paying rent, caring for her children, and pursuing the education that can change their future.

Through Scholar Village, we provide affordable, supportive housing for single moms pursuing higher education—creating the stability they need to focus on finishing their degrees, building careers, and moving their families toward long-term economic mobility. And the impact is two-generational.

When we help a mom build a more stable future, her children grow up in that future.

We’re grateful to Jakai Spikes with WTVC-TV NewsChannel 9 News for shining a light on the housing needs facing student moms in our community and the work being done to help ensure housing isn’t the barrier that keeps a mom from finishing her education.
