Congratulations Greater Chattanooga Colon Cancer Foundation board of directors on a successful annual retreat with the help of Nonprofit Resource Center today!

Welcome to our new board members: Jennifer Vessels, Esq. of Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. Bahner; Laxsmi Parsa, MD of Erlanger; and Mark Harvey of Morehouse School of Medicine.

Looking forward to another successful year of colon cancer prevention through education and funding screening for the uninsured!

We wish GCCCF board secretary, Jennifer Thompson, a very Happy Birthday today! She has the only "Rump Rally in the TN Valley" themed birthday party on the planet!

She is already a member of the "First Colonoscopy Club" having received her first colon cancer screening early due to a family history of colon cancer.

Remember colon cancer screening age is 45, but earlier if you have a family history of polyps.

You can turn your birthday into a fundraising event while raising awareness at the same time by requesting donations to the Greater Chattanooga Colon Cancer Foundation on our website www.gcccf.org instead of physical presents.

Today is Chattanooga Community Development Hixson Community Center's first Health Expo from 11am to 1pm! Come say "Colonoscopies Save Lives!!!" At the Greater Chattanooga Colon Cancer Foundation's table and pick up a whoopie cushion. Use it wisely!!!

In TN 9 people are diagnosed with colon cancer every day. Mark Eller was one of those people. Three of those 9 will die of the disease. We are happy to announce that Mark will NOT be one of those because he underwent surgery is now a survivor. Get screened!!!

The GCCCF was at Hope for the Inner City's wellness event yesterday. What amazing work they do with food pantry 2x per week, dental and eye clinics and the garden on site.
