The Nooga Night Rotary Club is entering its third season of planting trees in Chattanooga! To date we've planted over 170 trees in the city.

We provide and plant up to two trees per address for adopters who agree to care for the trees by watering, mulching, and weeding them. We will provide adopters with instructions and knowledge on how to do all of that to ensure each tree thrives!

If you are interested in becoming a tree adopter please feel free to reach out here, attend one of our meetings, or copy/paste the link below!

Join us tomorrow at White Duck Taco in welcoming our speaker, Emily Holden, with Voices for a Safer Tennessee. Emily brings perspective combining public-health expertise with compassion and lived experience to champion meaningful, lasting change that helps ensure safer communities for all.

Voices for a Safer Tennessee is a nonpartisan, nonprofit coalition of 30,000+ Tennesseans from all 95 counties. We are dedicated to advancing responsible, data-driven firearm safety policies and programs that strengthen public safety while upholding and respecting our Second Amendment rights. We engage in thoughtful, fact-based conversations focused on what works for Tennessee — by Tennesseans, for Tennesseans.

We're so grateful for our member and leader of Rotary Tree Towns, Kurt Martig, and the passion he brings to growing Chattanooga's urban tree canopy!

Last Thursday, Kurt gave a wonder presentation at the Canopy Connections event, alongside speakers from the , , Tennessee Bureau of Conservation, and the City of Chattanooga's City Forester. He shared the story of how our club's first Rotary tree planting began with just 12 trees, limited by how many Kurt could fit in his pickup truck! 🌳

Since then, the project has grown tremendously through generous grants and community partnerships 😄 In no short part to Kurt's leadership, vision, and commitment to making a lasting difference...one tree at a time!

We are now looking for tree adopters for the 2026-2027 planting season. If you or someone you know is interested in receiving a tree (and a team of enthusiastic Rotarians to help you plant it), please have them reach out to us at [email protected]

Community give-backs like these are why our members continue to show up and are proud to be Rotarians 💙
