It was wonderful to hear the talented students of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga perform at the Barbara Kelley Music Scholarship Fund Concert this past weekend. ๐ŸŽถโœจ

With grateful hearts, we thank every donor and supporter who made this event possible. Your generosity helps nurture young musicians and keeps Barbara Kelleyโ€™s vision for encouragement and artistry alive.

As a 25/26 scholarship recipient, ๐“๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐„๐ฅ๐ž๐๐ ๐ž, will join in performing at the Benefit Concert. As sophomore attending the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, she is majoring in business marketing while minoring in music performance.

With a commitment to making a difference, she serves as Chairwoman for the Delta Zeta Sorority Sisterhood, amongst other volunteer commitments.

Tess's hometown is Savannah TN where she graduated from Hardin County High School.

More about the Barbara Kelley Music Scholarship
The Barbara Kelley Music Scholarship Fund was created in 2017 by her daughter to honor Barbaraโ€™s 80th birthday and a lifetime of musical contributions to the city of Chattanooga. Barbara displayed strong musical talent when she was young, however her mother as a single parent (her father died suddenly when she was a toddler) didnโ€™t have the resources to provide any musical training. Barbara relied on the kindness and financial sponsorship of family friends to cover her voice lessons and other training outside of school-oriented music programs. This scholarship fund functions to give a little back and provide support for talented young musicians who could also benefit from financial support to help cover their college training.

The fund is graciously hosted through Barbaraโ€™s church, Christ Church Episcopal, where she faithfully sang for decades. As such your contributions are tax deductible and we are proud to maintain that 100% of the donor funds go directly to the scholarship recipients. The Kelley family covers all fund administrative costs. We focus our fundraising around annual or biannual benefit concerts featuring performances by the scholarship recipients with a lovely reception to follow.
