Sigma Alpha Iota is an international music fraternity for women. Founded in 1903, Sigma Alpha Iota seeks to promote the highest standards of musical training and achievement among women musicians and to further musical interest nationally and internationally. Sigma Alpha Iota seeks to aid its members in the pursuit of musicianship, citizenship, scholars

hip, and sisterhood. The sisters of Sigma Alpha Iota collaborate with other music organizations on campus to plan musical performances and social events throughout the year. SAI also plans fundraisers in order to raise money for national and local music philanthropies and plans community service projects throughout the Chattanooga community.
