🗒️2026 NeighborWorks Week Update❤️

This past week, an incredible group of volunteers from YM360 and Trinity Baptist Church (all the way from Philadelphia, Mississippi!) completely covered Chattanooga’s Oak Grove and Ridgedale neighborhoods to complete full Buki scores.

But this event was about so much more than data, assessments, and spreadsheets.

These 80 volunteers didn't just walk our streets—they trained in the Buki methodology and gained hands-on community-building experience that they get to carry back home with them. What they learned here is a truth that applies everywhere: showing up for your neighbors and actively investing in your community changes everything.

We know the spark they brought to Chattanooga will ignite that exact same mission back home in Mississippi. Thank you for pouring your hearts into our neighborhoods! 🏡

If you've ever wondered what it’s like to work with Courtenay, she describes daily life at CNE as the full gamut: "deep, thoughtful conversation; invested brainstorming and collaboration; and big belly-laughs!"

Courtenay brings a unique arts background to the team, which means she’s currently getting a "bigtime crash course" in the acronym-heavy language of affordable housing. Beyond the paperwork, she has loved getting to know the specific local communities and inspiring groups making an impact right here in the Scenic City.
