Year 2 of the LMC Summer Ride Series is Underway. 🚲 Help Us Keep the Wheels Rolling!

Last year, 13 Howard High School interns completed the LMC Summer Ride Series and every single one of them left with a bike. Several are still riding—getting to work, getting to campus, getting wherever they need to go.

This summer, we're back. 18 interns. 8 returning riders who came back for more, and 10 brand new faces discovering what it feels like to roll on two wheels, a couple of them for the first time ever.

Led in partnership with , , and —this program is about more than mountain biking. It's about access, confidence, and giving young people a deeper connection to the land they already work so hard to protect.

And just like last year: every intern who completes the series will receive a refurbished mountain bike and helmet—lasting access to recreation and transportation.

It's more than bikes—it's about access, equity, and transformation. We need your help to make it happen again.

Join SORBA Chattanooga and the Greenhouse Growlerz for our 4th Annual Pride Ride — Wednesday, June 10 at the Greenhouse Taproom by Oddstory Brewing Co.

Meet at 6:00 PM, roll out together. This year we're mixing in some gravel and celebrating Pride alongside the — Chattanooga's friendliest open-to-all-humans, all-bikes crew. We are so stoked for this one. 🤝

🛤️ Riverwalk Cruise — easy, paved, no-sweat
⛰️ Riverwalk to Guild via Virginia Ave — moderate climb, great views
No-drop ride. No one gets left behind.

Happy National Trails Day! 🌿🚵

Today we hit the trails with 25 incredible volunteers across two work parties — and what a way to celebrate.

At Enterprise South Nature Park, volunteers joined us for a lopperpalooza on the Atlas Trail, cutting back overgrowth to improve sight lines. Huge thanks to and for partnering with us to make it happen. 🌱✂️

We also had a crew out at Raccoon Mountain with TVA doing similar trail projects. 25 volunteers total across both sites today equates to a $2,300 investment into our local trails on National Trails Day!

🚨 Walden's Ridge Trail Update 🚨

Exciting news — almost everything is open and riding fast! Here's the latest:
✅ OPEN: Most downhill trails are good to go!
🚫 TEMPORARILY CLOSED: Biscuits & Gravy and Bullwinkle — please respect the caution tape and stay off until Saturday.

Here's what's been happening out there:
⚒ Trail armor installation is complete on Bread and Butter and a section of Dale Bermhardt — go check it out and drop a comment below letting us know what you think of the edits!

🌲 There's a large downed tree in a blind spot on Biscuits & Gravy, and machine work + trail armor install is still wrapping up on Bullwinkle. We're almost there!
