🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Bryant 🌟
Bryant Miller is one of SORBA Chattanooga's most dedicated volunteers — and the official Trail Boss of Raccoon Mountain.
Last year, Bryant logged an incredible 334 volunteer hours. He's already put in 116 more this year. As SORBA ramps up efforts to tackle serious erosion issues and maintenance needs at Raccoon, Bryant has been leading planning efforts, mentoring other volunteers, and doing the kind of behind-the-scenes work that keeps a trail system healthy and rideable for everyone.
When asked why he gives so much to our trails:
"It's my dirt therapy and connects me to the mountain even deeper than riding alone. It is a satisfying feeling when I ride by a completed project, even more so when the work was done by someone I mentored."
That's what a Trail Boss looks like.
As a thank-you and as part of our Volunteer Giveback Program, Bryant will receive a gift card from one of our industry partners in recognition of his extraordinary commitment — and he's already earned every piece of SORBA swag along the way.
👏 Thank you, Bryant, for everything you pour into Raccoon Mountain and into the people who ride it. Give him a high five and thank you in the comments.
SORBA Chattanooga maintains over 100 miles of trail across multiple systems in the region. Every one of them needs a Bryant. If you've ever thought about stepping into a trail leadership role, now is the time to raise your hand.
Get out, lend a hand, and don't forget to log your volunteer hours. Every hour counts — and every trail system needs its champion.
