✏️ It is almost National Pencil Day… and this has stopped me in my tracks.
A pencil maker once shared five lessons with a pencil…
and I couldn’t help but see how each one points back to God’s Word so I wanted to include each verse along the way ❤️
1. Everything you do will always leave a mark.
📖 “Let your light shine before others…” Matthew 5:16
2. You can always correct the mistakes you make.
📖 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us…” 1 John 1:9
3. What’s important is inside of you.
📖 “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
4. In life, you will go through sharpening… and it may be painful, but it will make you better.
📖 “We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance…” Romans 5:3–4
5. To be the best pencil, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that holds you.
📖 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5–6
And here’s what hit me…
We’re a lot like that pencil.
Not perfect. Not finished. But purposefully created.
❤️❤️❤️
Every season… every stretch… every refining moment-
it’s all in the hands of the One who is writing our story ✨
So if things feel hard right now…
maybe you’re just being sharpened for what He’s about to do next.
I’d love to know… Which one spoke to you the most today? ❤️ 🙏
Let's give these kids a critical tool to help connect them to their God-given potential.
We appreciate you - and your faithful support!
