Christ Church Episcopal Chattanooga Christ Church Episcopal is a diverse and inclusive urban community walking in the way of Jesus Christ Visit us on a Sunday and see for yourself!

Christ Church is a diverse, inclusive, and faithful Episcopal parish in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. We seek to be an open community, walking in the way of Jesus, engaging with an ever-changing world, and living a faith that is timeless yet contemporary, thoughtful, and compassionate. We have historically been identified as an Anglo-Catholic parish which means that our worship reflects the influence of the nineteenth-century Catholic revival in the Anglican Communion. Incense, candles, bells, chant, and colorful vestments enrich our worship.

Tomorrow we will at last be opening up the redone apartments above our office! The apartments will be used as transitional housing for people aging out of the foster care system. Join us for a ribbon cutting and open house from 4-6pm. There will be food downstairs and an opportunity to see the unoccupied apartments. After blessing the apartments, we will head over to the church for Evensong and Benediction at 6. Come help us celebrate this exciting new chapter in our parish life.

We will celebrate Lammas Day this Sunday! Lammas Day is a traditional harvest festival celebrating the wheat harvest and the gift of bread. It is usually celebrated at the beginning of August, but we have pushed it back to welcome students. Please bring any bread you would like blessed to mass. We will have the traditional Lammas loaf baked by Fr. Will to share after mass.
