Dear friend,

Some of the most world-changing moments begin quietly — with one person willing to ask a bold question.

In 2019, Jim Kovalik did exactly that. He wasn’t seeking recognition or applause. He simply wondered:

“Could we connect agricultural development to the Church?”

That question became the spark that ignited Equipping Farmers International (EFI). Jim didn’t just give — he joined the mission. He prayed with us, shared wisdom in those uncertain early days, and gave generously to help train our first 16 agricultural trainers.

His belief in what God could do through the Church reminded us that the Lord’s plans were bigger than anything we imagined.

And God has multiplied that spark.

In just two and a half years, EFI has directly trained more than 27,000 people. Farmers are feeding their families sustainably. Churches are meeting real needs in their communities. Hope is taking root — and the Gospel is spreading.

Jim went home to be with the Lord this year, but his legacy endures in every harvest, every empowered farmer, and every family now experiencing the fullness of God’s provision.

Next week is Giving Tuesday—a global day
to celebrate generosity and the power of
people coming together to make a difference.

EFI's 2026 fund raising goal is $1.3 million.
To keep up with global partner demand for
our programs, we need to have half of that—$700,000—in place by January 1.

Because of friends like you, we’ve already raised about 2/3rds or $478,000! That means we only need $222,000 more to hit our critical start of the year milestone!

Reaching this target will allow us to impact over 10,000 people in 2026 and position EFI to reach millions more in the years ahead. Every gift helps close the gap and multiplies hope, food security, and the Gospel around the world.
