Welcome Home of Chattanooga

Welcome Home of Chattanooga Creating a community of hope, healing, and compassion for those who are facing a serious illness. We have served 129 individuals since opening - thanks to YOU.

Welcome Home opened in March 2015 to meet a need: providing a non-profit hospice and cancer respite community for those in need of shelter and care. This home is for the community and supported by the community - all are welcome to come and love! All deserve to have dignity, grace, forgiveness and connection at the end of life - to know that you matter, that you will not be forgotten, that you are

important and valuable. We need your support - with volunteering, prayers, and funding! Please share our mission with others.

From identity and visibility to chosen family to spirituality and grief, there are real challenges that deserve to be named and understood.

At Welcome Home, we believe that everyone has the right to care, compassion, and love at the end of life. 🌈 https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1989548130014?aff=oddtdtcreator

Friday was a BIG DAY for our gal, Donna—she officially graduated from Welcome Home and moved into her own apartment!

We sent her off in style with a song (Lady Madonna, but Facebook/Instagram wouldn’t let us include that!) and some flowers. As the newest member of our Graduate Program, Donna will continue to get love and support from us here at Welcome. Please join us in congratulating Donna on her new home and in wishing her the best on the next chapter of her life!

Last night, we gathered to celebrate and say farewell to Alexis, our incredible Director of Social Services.

Alexis began her journey with us as a social work intern way back in 2016, and has been a foundational part of Welcome Home since officially joining the team in 2021.

We are forever grateful for the love, care, and compassion she has shown not only our residents, but our volunteers, staff, and everyone who has walked through the doors here at Welcome Home.

To say that Alexis has changed lives is an understatement. We will miss her dearly, and cannot wait to where her next adventure takes her.

Alexis, we love you, and wish you all the happiness the world has to offer.
