Partnership's Retired and Senior Volunteer Program Partnership for Families, Children and Adults and Senior Corps provide the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).

This program is designed for seniors aged 55 and older who want to become active volunteers in the Chattanooga area.

Tennessee Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cardholders WILL NOT be able to use their cards for food and cash purchases or for cash withdrawals between 12:00 AM CDT and 1:00 PM CDT on Sunday, September 22, 2024. Mayor Kelly has made a proclamation, declaring August as Older Adults Month, to recognize the continued contributions of older adults in Chattanooga. The Mayor's Council on Livability and Aging is kicking off the month with "Aging With Grace," a free all-day conference geared towards the interests of those 55+. Free lunch and door prizes (note: prizes are limited to those who stay the whole day).

Save the date for this one-of-a-kind event! "UnMasking: Elders Speak" will be held at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center August 20th at 3:00p.

UnMasking: Elders Speak is a dramatic monologue play based on interviews with 12 Chattanooga elders who shared their hardships, successes, and lessons about life with Peggy Douglas and David Cook.

Grateful to the Chattanooga AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers who unite, strengthen, impact, and lead through their service!

The Chattanooga-Hamilton County AmeriCorps Seniors Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP) at the Partnership for Families, Children, and Adults celebrated their annual volunteer recognition at the H*ART Gallery on June 26th. Several AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers were recognized for their contributions.

AmeriCorps is the federal agency that pairs people with organizations to tackle a community’s most pressing needs. AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers in Chattanooga make an impact at the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House, East Ridge Food Pantry, and more.
