Today I found a single rose living on an otherwise dying bush…that’s what being homeless feels like. I happen to know as I was that single rose many years ago. My goal has always been to set up a temporary home for those trying to change their “now” that have pets. Have a job, but living in a car because they can’t afford rent or property won’t accept pets…we are a small nonprofit that currently puts bandaids on the “now” of homelessness. I am going to ask everyone I know to donate here to help us grow big enough to make that happen or to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area, Inc. and request housing for a family with pets. Eventually I will reach that goal directly or indirectly with your help.
And remember every donation to The Dragonfly Affect or Habitat for Humanity is tax deductible 😊

Hard to believe it’s that time of the year again. As we are starting our Christmas kick off season/wish list for the homeless and newly homed this year, I accepted FB offer to ‘add stars’ to videos on my personal page and assign any star payments to this nonprofit. (Think it’s .99 a star, but don’t quote me on that).
Regardless that is amazing I can do that and so thankful they offered it. Will soon be asking/posting for our needs this year, but if you prefer, you can now buy stars on Shana Hilson nature videos and all proceeds will be donated for our Homeless Christmas! And it’s still tax deductible!
Going to start with the obvious…250 children backpacks, toys (all ages), coats, bikes/tricycles, toboggans, gloves and socks
Non perishable snack/ food items. Will post specifics as I get them in the next month. As always I along with my fabulous team thank you for making miracles happen and dreams come true every year ✌🏻🥰😊🙏🏻
