When Skye Martin was inducted into the Purdue University Northwest (PNW) chapter of Psi Chi, she saw potential.
The chapter had dedicated officers and hosted occasional volunteer activities, but student engagement was limited, and many eligible psychology students didn’t even know what Psi Chi was. Rather than accepting the status quo, Martin and a team of motivated officers set out to transform the chapter into an active, visible community that would benefit current students and leave a lasting foundation for future members.
“We wanted students to understand that Psi Chi is so much more than an honor society,” Martin said. “It’s a community.”
