NEXT STEP is a faith based initiative created to respond to Murray County residents experiencing temporary crisis. The immediate goal is to provide financial assistance with utilities and rent; an important secondary goal is to be a source of information and encouragement that will facilitate each family or individual taking the next step to physical. 📊 Murray County NEXT STEP – May Impact Report

Because of the support of our community, churches, volunteers, and donors, during the month of May we were able to:

📞 Answer 68 phone calls
🤝 Conduct 12 interviews
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Assist 22 adults
🧒 Help 11 children

Every appointment represents a family facing a challenge and seeking a hand up. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our neighbors in Murray County.

⚠️ A friendly reminder: If you schedule an appointment and are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. No-shows count as a visit and may affect eligibility for future assistance. More importantly, a missed appointment means another family may lose the opportunity to receive help during that time slot.

April was a busy month for Murray County NEXT STEP!

We conducted 16 interviews, serving 28 adults and 8 children. Assistance provided included:
• 8 rent payments
• 7 power bills
• 1 water bill

We also received 73 calls from individuals seeking help and resources.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission and our community 💙
