It’s R.E.D. Friday ❤️

Today, we invite our community to Remember Everyone Deployed and take a moment to recognize the service members serving far from home.

Whether through a handwritten note, a care package, wearing red, or simply taking a moment to reflect, small acts of support can make a meaningful difference for those carrying the weight of service each day.

To all who are deployed, we are grateful for your sacrifice and we are thinking of you today.

Gratitude has a way of multiplying when it’s shared. 💙

Through Operation Gratitude’s Virtual FOB, people across the country are finding meaningful ways to support service members, veterans, and first responders from wherever they are.

Whether it is writing a note of encouragement, creating handmade items, or participating in local acts of appreciation, each effort helps deliver a message that resonates far beyond the moment it is made.

There is no single way to give back, but every act of kindness contributes to something larger than any one of us.

We are deeply grateful for this growing community and the care you continue to pour into this mission. Link in bio to learn how you can get involved!

Some of the most meaningful support is created by hand. đź’™

Through Operation Gratitude’s Virtual FOB, volunteers can learn how to make paracord lanyards that are included in care packages sent to service members.

These small handmade items carry a big message of care and encouragement. Each one represents time, intention, and a reminder to those serving that they are seen and supported.

If you are looking for a simple way to get involved, the Virtual FOB is a great place to start. Link in bio!

Gratitude has a way of bringing people together.

Christine recently spent time writing heartfelt letters and creating handmade cards for firefighters and law enforcement officers in North Texas. She even invited her twin kindergartners to help deliver the cards and treats to local stations.

What began as a simple act of appreciation turned into a memorable experience for the whole family, complete with station tours, conversations with first responders, and a reminder of the strong connection between communities and those who serve them.

Thank you, Christine, for sharing kindness, encouragement, and gratitude with your local first responders. đź’™

Sometimes a small act of service can carry a big impact. ❤️

Sophia recently created handmade paracord lanyards for first responders and delivered them to Fire Station 104 in Winnetka as a gesture of gratitude and support.

These lanyards can serve important purposes in emergency situations, including securing gear, assisting in rescue efforts, creating emergency splints or tourniquets, and more.

“This makes me feel like I did something important,” Sophia shared.

We could not agree more.

Thank you, Sophia, for using your time and talents to support those who serve our communities every day.

As National Military Appreciation Month comes to a close, we are reflecting with deep gratitude on the service, sacrifice, and strength of those who serve our country and our communities. đź’™

Throughout May, we have honored service members, veterans, military families, and first responders whose courage and commitment make a difference every day.

This month may be ending, but our gratitude does not.

At Operation Gratitude, we remain committed to turning appreciation into action through care packages, handwritten letters, and meaningful moments of connection that remind those who serve that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this month in honoring those who serve. Together, we continue to make gratitude meaningful. đź’™

A simple act of gratitude can make a lasting impact.

This Military Appreciation Month, a $25 donation can fund one Operation Gratitude care package for a service member, veteran, first responder, or military family.

Each package delivers more than essential items. It carries encouragement, connection, and a powerful reminder that their service and sacrifice are deeply appreciated.

Together, we can turn gratitude into action for those who serve our country and communities every day.

Donate today and help send care, support, and appreciation where it’s needed most. Link in bio.

A handwritten letter can do something powerful: remind someone they are seen, valued, and appreciated. đź’™

Through Operation Gratitude, volunteers of all ages write personal messages of encouragement, gratitude, and support that are included in care packages for service members, veterans, military families, and first responders.

These letters often become lasting reminders that, even from far away, someone is thinking of them and grateful for their service.

This Military Appreciation Month, we are especially grateful for every volunteer helping turn simple words into meaningful connections.

You can join us through our Virtual FOB by writing letters, crafting handmade items, or supporting those who serve from wherever you are. Link in bio to get involved!

We were so moved to hear from Emanuela, a new Virtual FOB volunteer joining us all the way from Milan, Italy đź’™

Emanuela discovered Operation Gratitude a few years ago and was drawn to something simple but powerful—her love of knitting and crocheting, and the idea that her handmade pieces could bring comfort to someone she may never meet.

Over the years, she’s created scarves, lanyards, and other handmade items for different causes, always guided by a belief that even small acts of care can travel far and make a real difference.

She also shared how meaningful it feels to be part of a global community of makers, all connected by the same purpose: sending encouragement and appreciation to those who serve.

We’re so grateful to welcome Emanuela to the Virtual FOB community—and honored to have volunteers joining from around the world.
