75 beanies. Two dedicated volunteers. A whole lot of heart. ❤️🧶

When Operation Gratitude put out the call for red, white & blue beanies, the AT&T Pioneers were ready to get to work.

Phyllis, with help from fellow Pioneer Barbara, knitted 75 beanies while continuing to volunteer on projects supporting their local communities.

We’re grateful for volunteers like Phyllis and Barbara who use their time and talents to create something meaningful for those who serve.

Thank you for putting your hands to work for a mission that reaches far beyond your community.

This National Aviation Day, we’re honoring the pilots, aircrews, maintainers, and aviation professionals whose skill, courage, and dedication keep people moving, missions going, and our nation connected. ✈️🇺🇸

From the first flight to the missions that carry our service members around the world, aviation has always been about more than getting from one place to another.

Today, we celebrate the people behind the flight.Thank you to everyone who has taken to the skies in service to our country.

And to our partners at Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines, join us in thanking the people who serve our country and keep our communities connected.

Know a pilot, aircrew member, maintainer, or aviation professional who deserves to be recognized? Tag them in the comments and help us celebrate the people behind the mission.

Twenty-five years later, they still run toward it.

Twenty-five years ago, firefighters climbed stairwells everyone else was running down. Police officers held the line. Paramedics worked through the smoke and wreckage, answering the call when their communities needed them most.

That instinct to run toward danger instead of away from it still lives in the first responders serving our communities today.

This September 11th, Operation Gratitude is honoring those who continue to serve by making gratitude tangible.

We’re inviting volunteers across the country to deliver an Activation Box to a first responder station near them. Each package includes handcrafted paracords made by our volunteers and handwritten thank-you letters from grateful Americans.

Deliver yours on or near September 11th and help remind a first responder that their service is seen and appreciated.

Registration closes August 28.

Sign up to deliver an Activation Box and join us in turning gratitude into action. 📦

It starts with people showing up. It becomes something bigger. ❤️

Assembly Days bring strangers, friends, families, and communities together around one shared purpose: showing gratitude to those who serve.

There’s packing, laughter, conversations, new connections, and plenty of stories along the way. And at the end of it all, each Care Package carries something that can’t be measured by what’s inside: a reminder that someone cares.

After participating in the Old Dominion Honor Flight, Vietnam Era veteran Thomas received a Mail Call bag filled with cards, messages, and tokens of appreciation from Operation Gratitude supporters.

He waited until the next morning to read them. What happened next is a reminder of why these moments matter.

“I did spend several hours reading them the next morning and I was absolutely thrilled by them. It made my day.”

Thomas, thank you for 24 years of service to our country and for sharing what this experience meant to you. We’re honored to have played a small part in a day you’ll forever remember. 🇺🇸
