A little heat wave didn’t stop 16 of our ladies from turning out for the Chatsworth Historical Society’s annual Pioneer Day at the Homestead Acre (https://www.chatsworthhistory.com/Events.html). We donated and sold yummy baked goods and gorgeous member cultivated plants with all proceeds supporting this worthy organization. Our members also represented the Foundation for the Preservation of the Santa Susans Mountains, the Chatsworth Neighborhood Council, and served as docents in the Historical Cottage, and the Virginia Watson Chatsworth Museum. Our President was behind the camera capturing all the fun in addition to helping set up the event with another extremely dedicated member who helped plan and execute a very memorable experience for our community.

Sharing this important PSA from GFWC California Women's Clubs.

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🎀

This October, give yourself—and the women you love—the gift of prioritizing breast health. Regular mammograms and knowing what is normal for you can support early detection and provide peace of mind.

Have you scheduled your mammogram yet? Take the next step today: call your healthcare provider and book your appointment. Knowing is always better than not knowing.

Encourage a friend, sister, mother, or loved one to schedule theirs, too. Together, we can make breast health a priority this October and beyond!

Chatsworth Women’s Club-CWC members enjoyed the 29th annual Supporters of Law Enforcement in Devonshire (S.O.L.I.D.) “All You Can Eat” Pasta Dinner fundraiser. We are grateful to the hardworking men and women of LAPD Devonshire Area for keeping our community safe.

We’re back! The Chatsworth Women’s Club-CWC resumed our monthly General Meetings and luncheons after our summer break. Coincidentally, it was the first day of autumn as reflected in our lovely decorations. In memory of the 25th anniversary of 9/11 this month, one of our members read a touching poem she wrote as a high school student. A group of our ladies spent the summer creating a health and wellness presentation focusing on the role exercise, diet, oxytocin, and dopamine play in addressing symptoms of depression. It was informative, entertaining, and a huge hit!

Interesting reading on the only three American women to have won the Nobel Peace Prize as we observe the International Day of Peace 2026.
