“𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚”—Created by an NA member in just 30 days, this piece includes our discontinued bi-plate medallions, (with Arabic rather than Roman numerals), and more than 10,000 Swarovski crystals arranged in two layers.

The story: “While I was building this—from the beginning to its completion—I was overcome by emotion. I cried my way through these two layers of stones. Each crystal is a shining addict from around the world.” A few of the larger crystals near the edge “slipped,” and the artist believes they represent addicts coming back from relapse. When she attempted to move them, the adhesive was so strong she could not move them, so she left them, believing they were right where they were supposed to be.

🗓️ Saturday, 5 September 2026 we will celebrate World Unity Day. The heart of that celebration is a prayer: a moment when we all come together at the same time, no matter where we are, and say the Serenity Prayer as one. Of course our thoughts are always with the addict who still suffers, and this year our thoughts are also with our members who are suffering around the world, from circumstances not in their control. On Unity Day we remember that we are one, that what unites us is more important than what divides us, and that wherever we are, we are not alone.

⏰ As always, we post in Pacific Time; adjust accordingly to where you will be. From 11:00 am to 12:30 pm there will be a PR presentation. At 12:30 pm we will say the Serenity Prayer; there will be videos from around the world, and at 1:00 pm members will share their experience, strength and hope. We will also be sharing updates on the happenings of World Services throughout both sessions. You are welcome to join us from home; many groups and areas choose to build events around World Unity Day, and if you’re joining us as a group we’d love to hear about it!
