Congratulations to Hayden, Conner, Brooklyn, Kaitlyn, and of course Mrs. Tella.

WCHS Team “Bad Company”achieved an invitation to compete in Vex Robotics Regionals at Auburn University . These incredibly smart students battled over 50 teams (from much larger schools) and made it to the quarterfinals. No small feat.

Again, congratulations to Team “Bad Company” and thank you to all the Robotics teams from Chatom and Leroy for your hard work, dedication and excellent representation of your schools, families and communities at each and every one of your 2025-2026 competitions.

And many thanks to the teachers who have sacrificed so much personal time in order to continously pour into your students to provide them the opportunity to be involved in Robotics.

Ronald McDonald House Charities, Mobile is a program dear to our hearts, and one we are happy to support. Ronald McDonald House has, and continues to, support numerous families from Washington County on their babies medical journey's and the complications that they face daily. This program eases an otherwise overwhelming and stressful situation by allowing families to stay close while children receive life sustaining medical care.

Henson and Kirkland Charitable Foundation is proud to support Ronald McDonald House Charities, Mobile in order to help make the "little things" possible so families can focus on the big things, like their child's recovery.

If you would also like to support Ronald McDonald House, Mobile to help sick children be near their families during treatment, please do so at:

We are so incredibly proud of the success these students have acheived under the guidance of Mrs. Tella Flaming Williams. In their most recent competition, Team Bad Company won the Excellence Award and will compete at Auburn in two weeks at the Regional Tournament for the state!! Team Scrap Monkeys won the Judges Award! All four teams finished qualifications in the top ten, and advanced to the semi finals! At one point all four teams on the field were Washington County. Teams Nuclear Kittens and Tricerabots also had strong finishes.
A quote from Mrs. Williams: “But, I am most proud of their character. My favorite picture of the day is their moment of prayer before finals. We have never competed without other officials and schools telling me how impressed they are with these students. They are exceptional and I am super proud of them. “
Congratulations to Mrs. Williams and her Robotics Teams! Best of luck in Auburn, we are behind you all the way!
