Good morning!
This Momma is so grateful! About a month ago my son Carson (11) started to talk to me about wanting to be closer to God and how he was realizing that it was very important to have Jesus in his life. He has been patiently waiting for camp he wanted to get the Holy Ghost at camp! Sunday we were talking and he ask if I thought he could go ahead and pray about it when he got to camp it would happen. I said bub you can pray and talk to God anywhere anytime. Last night he calls me and said Momma I got the Holy Ghost he was so excited. I am so grateful to you God! Sister Holly took their picture and sent to me this morning! God is doing a work in our children, in the prisons, in our ladies, in my family, in our recovery services. It’s so easy to get discouraged but I have learned be patient and trust! Lord you have never let me down 💜 Also big Thank you to Sister Misti for watching out for the boys and letting him call me with the good news 💜

The Healing House of Hope prison ministry was started in Winn parish 2 maybe 3 years ago. I had ladies service in Lincoln Parish last night standing room only. The Lord met us there for sure. I come home and pass by Winn and see this I had to turn around a take a picture. We had men in 4 different pods last night sharing Jesus . All I could do is weep! God I’m so grateful for you! Thank you Jesus for what you are doing in this ministry!!

Quitting drugs is powerful, but recovery is more than just putting the substance down. Because being clean ain’t just about what’s in your bloodstream. It’s about what’s in your heart, your mind, your mouth, your attitude, your choices, and your character. At some point, we have to stop carrying old behavior into a new life and calling it recovery. We can’t keep glorifying the same chaos God pulled us out of. We can’t keep acting like the old version of us and expect to walk fully into the new one. Recovery requires growth. Healing requires humility. Freedom requires change. God didn’t bring me out just so I could stay the same person with a clean drug test. He brought me out so I could become new. So I could walk different. Talk different. Love different. Forgive different. Live different. And let me tell you, cleaning up your life is not just about staying sober. It’s about letting God clean up the parts of you that addiction left messy. That old mindset. That old anger. That old pride. That old need to prove something. That old toxic behavior. That old version of me had to go too. I don’t just want to be clean. I want to be changed. 🙌 Shared from Amanda 💜

Let me tell you about my Jesus! We had 29 ladies in service with us at Lincoln Parish. What a move of the Lord! I can’t explain what this ministry is to me. God is good and He is so faithful! Shout out to Sis Holly and Sis Shae Newton for joining our women’s team and always Sis Angie Walker . The Lord is building a church within the people behind the walls of detention centers. I believe this with all my heart and I’m so thankful to be a part of what He is doing.

Don’t forget our red beans and rice fundraiser this week. Monday in Chatham and Thursday in Winnfield . We also will have a Mother’s Day basket full of goodies we will raffle. Tickets will be 5 dollars and we will share with you tomorrow what’s inside. Just a hint there is def a coach bag in the basket!!

Good morning!
The Healing House of Hope will be doing a fundraiser for the month of May and as you asked, it is red beans, sausage and rice w/ crackers and a desert for $10. For the Chatham area it will be Monday 5/4 and Winn Parish 5/7. All proceeds go back into the home to help support our women. For every name that places and order you will be entered into a drawing for a surprise 💜
