Such an intriguing and true statement. Many times we try to raise our children the way our parents raised us, but that world no longer exists. Kindness, love and generosity will never change. These are the gifts every child should understand, but we must learn to embrace the world our children will grow up in. My dad always said "no parent is perfect, take the good and leave the bad". So as we parent our children, we must guide them based on the world they live in. The best way to understand their world is to ask. Communication is priceless.

A woman wrote to us about how powerful the “Letz Talk” cards were in the relationship with her high school daughter. They were using the cards and the daughter picked the card that read “What is one thing about you that no one knows?”
Her daughter responded…."when she is sad she thinks about cutting herself."
This brought her mom to tears. The conversation blossomed into something beautiful. The conversation and unconditional love that came from that moment was priceless.
