✨BECOME A SPONSOR✨
Each year the Pittsylvania Soil & Water Conservation District organizes Agricultural Awareness Day "Ag Day" for Pittsylvania County’s fourth grade students, which will be held in September.
Approximately fifty volunteers will spend two days with all of the county’s fourth graders to educate them about the importance of agriculture in everyday life, and the agricultural opportunities that Pittsylvania County has to offer.
Approximately ~900 students will visit the eight interactive stations which include wildlife 🦌, gardening 🍓, dairy 🐄, horses 🐎, conservation 💧, livestock 🐷, field crops 🌱, and forestry 🌳. Each station host will engage with the students using hands-on activities to teach students about agriculture.
As with most large programs, it takes financial donations to make Ag Day possible each year. Any donation will be put towards ag-themed goody bags for the children, bottled water, t-shirts, lunch for the volunteers, and other operational costs.
As a sponsor, your company’s name will be printed on the back of the 2026 Ag Day T-shirts. We are currently asking each sponsor to donate $100.00, but any contribution will be greatly appreciated.
If you would like to be an Ag Day sponsor, we ask that your donation is submitted prior to July 10th, 2026.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our staff.
