We would like to take a moment to recognize Jordan Holombo for an incredible track and field season!

Earlier this year, Jordan broke the Chassell school record in the 100m hurdles, a record that had stood since 1978, with a time of 16.80. But Jordan wasn't finished. At the UP Finals, she surpassed her own record once again, capturing 1st Place in the Division 3 100m hurdles with a blazing time of 15.94.

Even more impressive, Jordan's 15.94 was the fastest 100m hurdles time among all Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 athletes competing at UP Finals!

Jordan also claimed 1st Place in the 300m hurdles with a time of 46.55, breaking her own school record that she set last season. She rounded out her outstanding day with a 4th Place finish in the 200m dash with a time of 27.70.

In addition to her record-breaking performances, Jordan was recognized by the conference coaches as the Copper Mountain Conference Hurdler of the Year, an honor that reflects her hard work, dedication, and dominance throughout the season.

Jordan's dedication, determination, and hard work have earned her a place in the Chassell record books and among the best hurdlers in the Upper Peninsula.

Last night, we had the opportunity to honor many of our student-athletes and Robotics team members at our All Sports Banquet. While we weren't able to recognize everyone in person, we want to take a moment to celebrate all of our amazing athletes and Robotics participants for their outstanding year.

Thank you for your hard work, dedication, perseverance, and Panther Pride throughout the year. Whether you competed on the field, court, track, trails, or represented Chassell through Robotics competitions, you have made our school proud.

🏃‍♀️💙💛 Congrats to our Chassell Panthers on some awesome highlights from recent meets!

🐾 Dade Holmes earned a PR in the 800m with a time of 2:22.36
🐾 Nolan Loukus earned a PR in Shot Put with a throw of 30-9.50
🐾 Moria Kenny earned a PR in the 100m Dash with a time of 15.97

We also want to extend a HUGE congratulations to Jordan Holombo on an incredible record-setting performance at the Houghton County Invite in Calumet! 🔥

Jordan officially broke the Chassell school record in the 100m hurdles, previously held by Hope Ojanen since 1978 with a time of 16.80. Jordan now holds the new school record with a time of 16.36! 👏

Jordan also broke her own school record in the 300m hurdles. After setting the record last year at 49.65, she lowered it again this season to an amazing 48.73!

Way to go, Panthers! We are so proud of all your hard work and accomplishments! 🐾💙💛
