What a fun day at Degler Farm! We got an introduction to the mechanics of launching a pumpkin on a Trebuchet. We saw how they launch apples and goards with the air cannon. We went on a combine ride, a hayride, and spent some time on little skid steer loaders. There was also a corn pit, a corn maze, and a giant slide to enjoy. Walk worthy!

Service & Fellowship at the farm. Yesterday, we had a few trailmen from the MN River Valley Area come and help a local farm and ministry cut, split, and stack firewood. Then we had some brats & hotdogs over the fire and enjoyed some good conversation. Walk Worthy!

Tonight we covered Simple Machines with the Woodland patrols, while the Navigators worked on the Recruit rank and the Our Flag badge. Then our Adventurer began working on the Emergency Preparedness trail badge. We finished with a game of "knock the basketball away from your opponents" (working title). We pointed the boys the live for God, that He wants us to live for more than comfort and that we should persevere to run the race set before us. Walk Worthy!

Over the weekend, our Troopmaster, Jake, was down in Omaha, NE for the Trail Ready Learners Conference. He got to interact with leaders from all over the North Plains Region TLUSA as well as the national office. Here's one of the leaders of Trail Life USA Troop Ks-0001 offering some words of encouragement, challenge, and wisdom. We turned a rainy campout at Baylor Regional Park and Observatory into a day trip. Disc golf & nature walking in the early afternoon and a fire, s'mores, and astronomy sessions in the evening. A great time was had by all. We hope you were able to get outside this weekend! Walk Worthy.

Our first troop meeting of the new school year is in the books! Thank you to everyone who came out last Thursday, including several new families.
