We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Tena, owner of Luv’s Kitchen & Company in Cologne—and what a delight! 💚

We loved getting to know Tena and dreaming up some fun—and yummy!—ways we can collaborate in the future.

In the meantime, Tena already found the perfect way to win over our team. 😊 A HUGE thank you for spoiling our volunteers with some of your famous cinnamon rolls! They were absolutely delicious and very much appreciated. 😋

Congratulations to the City of Chaska for winning the multi-city food drive challenge for Night to Unite!! It was great having Chaska The Chaska Fire Department Chief Kraus and Chaska Mayor Taylor Hubbard in to celebrate! But, we want to extend an immense amount of thanks and gratitude to ALL cities and participants of Night to Unite.

It takes a whole lot of people to collect and drop-off over 6,600 lbs. of food. Every item that was collected went directly to families and individuals in need of food support within your community!!

💚At Bountiful Basket, food is just the beginning. We continue to grow our Community Resource Navigation Program, helping families connect with additional resources such as housing support, energy assistance, and other services available throughout our community.

One of the ways we’re able to expand this support is through wonderful volunteers like Pastor Scott from St. John's UCC of Bongards , who joins us every Tuesday at our Cologne location. Scott helps families navigate community resources and connect with services that can help provide additional stability and support.

And, like so many of our amazing volunteers, Scott can multitask with the best of them! You’ll also find him stepping in at our front desk, welcoming families with his big, genuine smile. 😊

As the needs of the families we serve continue to evolve, we’re grateful to be growing the ways we can walk alongside them.

This month features an impact story of a mother who utilized Bountiful Basket Food Shelf for the first time, expressing how impactful it was for her and her two young daughters.

It was a direct reminder of why we do this work and that while food is a tangible thing our shoppers leave with, the kindness they receive, the relief they feel, and the hope they leave with, the intangibles, are just as impactful.

Along with this mother's story, you can also learn how to unlock a matching gift for Bountiful Basket through August, aiding in our work and creating more stories of support like the one featured, as well as other current needs and events coming up.
