The fresh produce we receive from the Carver Community Market through our food rescue partnership provides incredible fresh, local produce for our families and shoppers.

This program supports local farmers, reduces food waste, and helps provide fresh nutritious food to those in need of food support across our community. And, it wouldn't be possible without a grant from the RecycleCarver - Carver County Environmental Services and partnerships with the SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Summertime, fresh produce and community partnerships is our favorite combo 🙌

Food Rescue is coming to the Carver Community Market!

Starting July 7, fresh unsold produce from participating vendors will be donated to Bountiful Basket Food Shelf, helping reduce food waste and support local families. Vendors will receive $1 per pound donated, making it easy to reduce food waste while giving back to the community!

A huge thank you to the RecycleCarver - Carver County Environmental Services for dropping off home organics recycling containers at our Cologne location for our community! 🌱♻️

These containers are now available for all Carver County shoppers to help get started with home organics recycling. Once your bin is full, simply empty it at any Carver County organics drop-off station.

Did you know? Cologne has an organics recycling station conveniently located on the west side of our building!

Through the support of a grant from the Lions Clubs International Foundation, we were able to put in a new ramp at our Cologne location! 💚

We absolutely love our Lions and are so grateful for their continued support of our mission and community! 🦁💛 This important safety and accessibility improvement will make a meaningful difference for shoppers, volunteers, and staff every day.

The updated ramp and expanded access point create a safer, smoother experience for individuals using mobility devices, shopping carts, and food pallets.

These improvements also support our continued growth in Cologne, where demand has increased more than 1,300% since we opened. 📈

The Free Summer Food Market is back for 2026. The market will be held at Chaska Middle School every Monday from 4-5:30 p.m. starting June 8 through August 17—Everyone is welcome!

The market helps ensure that kids and families are getting the food they need over the summer months; filling the gap of missed school lunches and snacks. No personal information or pre-registration is required. For more information, visit findfoodcarvercounty.org.

This market is truly a community effort, and we are grateful to be a part of such an impactful collaboration of partners including Mi CASA, Carver County Public Health, A Better Society, and Eastern Carver County Schools. A huge thank you to the students from District 112’s STAR (Steps Toward Adult Responsibility) program for stopping by last week with a food donation for Bountiful Basket! 💚🥫 After their donation last week, that brings their total yearly food donation to nearly 400 lbs.!

We are continually inspired by their kindness, generosity, and commitment to giving back to the community. Their donations help keep our shelves stocked and ensure neighbors facing food insecurity have access to the support they need.

We are so grateful for their ongoing support and the heart they bring to serving others. Thank you, STAR students and teachers, for making a difference time and time again!

Bountiful Basket Food Shelf will be closed Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day at both our Chaska and Cologne locations. As we honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country, we wish everyone a safe holiday.

We will resume regular hours on Tuesday, May 26.

The rain couldn’t keep us away from the grand opening at the new Les Schwab Tire Centers in Carver! The team was generous, excited, and hard at work.

They donated a new set of tires for our van, put on some new rims, and did some other tuneups! We were joined by Bountiful Basket board members Melissa Hughes Carlson of Nicolet Bank and Steve William Curtis of the SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce, City of Carver Mayor Courtney Johnson and many other members of the Southwest Chamber.

We highly recommend Les Schwab and their team! What a great addition to the community!

Paper bag donation bins are officially out in the community!! Brown paper bags are an essential item at Bountiful Basket Food Shelf. They are also something we run out of often.

A handful of organizations and businesses in Chaska and Cologne came on board to host paper bag donation bins, helping us bring in as much as possible 🙌 Big big thanks to the following businesses and organizations:

Lions Club of Chaska
Chanhassen Rotary Club
Nicolet Bank of Chaska
Jones Coffee - Chaska
Old National Bank in Cologne, and
Health Source

We are so excited to be a part of Les Schwab Tire Centers grand opening in Carver tomorrow!! They are graciously donating a new set of tires to Bountiful Basket!

This will ensure our van continues transporting food and volunteers safely, so we can continue supporting our neighbors. Thank you Les Schwab and welcome to the community 🙌
