8Acre K9 Rescue and Rehabilitation

GiGi has a favor to ask... 🐾🎃

She put on her fanciest bandana for this, so please hear her out.

We're putting together a **silent auction** for our Raise the Woof fundraiser on October 24, and we need help filling the tables! Whether you own a business, love making gift baskets or have a talent to share, we'd be so grateful.

Here's what we're looking for:
🧺 Gift baskets (pick a theme and have fun with it!)
🎁 Gift cards
✨ Services (grooming, training, photography, massage, classes)
🎨 Handmade goods
🐶 Dog goodies of every kind

No donation is too small. A basket from a friend counts just as much as one from a shop 🧡

Every dollar raised goes directly to 8Acre K9 Rescue and helps us move our dogs out of the garage and into a real space.

📅 We need items by **October 17**, and we'll come pick them up!
📲 Message us here, call 518.288.8505 or email [email protected]

🐾 Meet Louie. ❤️

Almost a year in a shelter. 😔
Almost a year of being overlooked.
Almost a year of being misunderstood.

But Louie is so much more than the way people saw him. 🥹❤️

He’s a goofy, loving, playful boy who wants to be your best friend. 🐶💙 He’s curious, adventurous, and LOVES to play — especially with a ball! 🎾

Louie is an enthusiastic guy, so he’ll need a family who understands that he’s still learning how to slow down and be his best self. He may be a little too much for very young children, but for the right person or family, we know there is an incredible dog underneath all that excitement. ❤️

Sometimes a dog doesn’t need to be changed…
They just need someone willing to understand them. 🐾

Louie has waited long enough. He deserves someone who sees the amazing dog we see every day. 🏡❤️
🎯Apply on our [email protected]

Please share Louie. You never know who might be looking for exactly the dog he is. 🐾✨

SAVE THE DATE 🎃🐾
Louie put on his best pumpkin bandana to tell you we're throwing a fundraiser, and you're invited!
Raise the Woof 🏠
📅 Saturday, October 24
⏰ 10 AM – 1 PM
📍 Thrive Holistic Center, 318 Ridge Street, Glens Falls
Our friends at Thrive Holistic Center are opening their doors and offering mini sessions by donation: Reiki, astrology, tarot, nutrition consulting and more ✨ You get a little peace and calm. The dogs get a little more room. That's a pretty good trade.

Here's the honest truth: we run this rescue out of a garage, and we've outgrown it. Every dog we pull off the euthanasia list needs space to decompress, heal and learn how to be a dog again 🧡 More space means more lives saved. It's that simple.

100% of the funds go directly to 8Acre K9 Rescue.

Can't make it? Sharing this post helps more than you know. Tag a friend who needs a Reiki session AND a good excuse to help some dogs 👇

WE DID IT!! 🎉🐾 We won round one of Cesar Millan's "My Dog, My Inspiration" competition!!

But… it's not over 😭 There's a round TWO, THREE, and FOUR. Please watch this whole video, because it explains exactly how this works and how you can help 👇

⏰ ROUND 2 VOTING STARTS TODAY AT 3:00! ⏰

I know it's a lot to ask. But $25,000 would change everything for this rescue 🏡
✨ Getting us out of my garage
✨ Hiring someone to help me
✨ Saving MORE dogs off the euthanasia list

There are so many of them, and you just can't do this alone.

To every single one of you who voted, shared, and cheered us on 🫶🥹 thank you. Truly.

I will never give up on these dogs. I found my purpose, and even though some days are beyond hard, I won't quit on them. Ever. I'll find a way, and this is one real shot at making a real impact. 💛

🗳️ Voting link is in my bio! Please share this so we make it to the next round 🙏

🎉 WE’RE STILL IN FIRST PLACE!! 🎉

I just checked and Marta and I are STILL in first place!! 🥹❤️

We have to hold onto that spot through the 29th, and then we move on to the next round! 🙌🐾

I seriously can’t thank everyone enough for voting, sharing, cheering us on—and especially everyone who has paid for votes. ❤️

And the really cool part is that the money from those votes goes to a good cause—Cesar Millan’s foundation—so your support is helping make a difference beyond this contest. 🐶❤️

Please keep sharing and keep voting! 🙏
We need to stay in first!

Okay, confession: I watched my video this morning and thought, "I really should've put more thought into that one." 😂 But honestly? I'm too excited to care, because WE ARE IN FIRST PLACE!!! 🥇

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who voted! 🙏🙏🙏

Quick reminder: your one vote is free! If you chose to buy extra votes, that money went to Cesar's foundation, which is a wonderful cause, AND it gave us a boost. Win-win.

Voting runs through the 29th. If we're still on top, we move on to the next round, one step closer to that $25,000 for our rescue pups. 🐾

Please keep sharing and passing this along. Every single vote counts! 💛
