✨ Happy & Blessed New Year! ✨

Tonight we welcome 2026 — a new year full of hope and promise! Every new day is a gift from God and an opportunity to respond to His grace with thankful hearts and obedient lives. As this year begins, take time to listen for what God may be saying to you.
We’re excited to share that The Dwelling Place Christian Community is now a house church!

We’ll gather in the name of Jesus for worship, prayer, time in the Word, and sharing together. Afterward, we’ll enjoy afellowship meal — please bring a side dish to share (main dish provided).
Though this season looks different, we believe God is doing something beautiful and deeply relational among us. We’re excited to walk this new chapter together and invite you to be part of it.

Christmas will soon be here... Here's a reminder that Christmas begins with Christ, the promised Savior whose birth brought hope, peace, and redemption to the world. Long before traditions, decorations, and celebrations, Christmas was God’s divine plan fulfilled—the moment when heaven touched earth through the birth of Jesus. In Christ, we see God’s love made visible, His truth made flesh, and His light shining into a dark world. Every joy of the season finds its true meaning in Him, reminding us that Christmas is not about what we receive, but about the greatest gift ever given. Although this is certainly magnified on the holidays, we keep Christ in our hearts year-round. ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS!!

TRUTH -
The Bible is God’s Word and provides the unchanging standard for how we live. Rather than reshaping truth to fit our lives, we are called to align our lives with the truth found in Scripture. God’s standards rise above all cultural and social norms and guide us in faithful living.

The Dwelling Place Christian community is transitioning into a House Church. Additionally, we have sensed the Lord leading us to establish a network of house churches throughout our region. Through prayer and continued conversation, we have received strong confirmation that God is rebooting and redefining Dwelling Place as a presence-centered community here in Charlottesville, rooted in intimacy, simplicity, and shared life. PLEASE stay tuned to us to learn where our house church(s) will be.

One factor affecting our decision is the current situation in the Quesenberry home. Carol and I have always served as partners in ministry, but at this time she has significant physical limitations. She cannot stand or walk without crutches, cannot drive, and must keep her right leg elevated as much as possible. Until she is healed, her activity is very limited. My primary ministry is my wife, so since October I have stayed close to home and limited myself to half-time in public ministry. We remain confident that the Lord is with us and trust Him for continued grace, healing, and strength as we move forward. Our first house church meeting will be on Sunday, January 4th. Our plans are to meet in a local home every Sunday afternoon at 4pm for worship, prayer and ministry. Then we will eat dinner together. It will be a simple gathering. We will meet to encounter God, care for one another and fellowship around the table every week. We are still in discernment about the location. We will inform you of plans when we have them

First, we must be friends. Spiritual friendship is a primary goal at the Dwelling Place. We gather as a first order of business to love and care for one another. It's always important to be kind to everyone. But you knew that!
