Valley Link and Dominion Energy are proposing a new "Joshua Falls to Yeat" 115-mile high-voltage transmission line through Central Virginia from Campbell County to Culpeper County, to serve the increasing data center demand.

This project would clear thousands of acres of land, slicing through forests and farmland and splitting wildlife habitats apart. The forests on the chopping block provide clean air and water, excellent viewsheds, outdoor recreation, and critical habitat to birds, mammals, reptiles, and more.

Please stand up for the Piedmont's beautiful landscape by making your voice heard at one of the public meetings or the virtual meeting on Monday, March 16 during the public comment period.

You can find more information about the transmission line and opportunities for public comment at the Valley Link website: https://vltransmission.com/joshua-falls-to-yeat

Join us tomorrow, February 28 at 2 pm in Richmond's Byrd Park as we lead a Walk in the Woods from the Carillon Monument through the mature forest of the park. ON this informative walk, expect to learn tree identification, the value of mature and old-growth ecosystems, and invasive species management. Come prepared for a mild hike with your best trail shoes, ball cap, and plenty of water! As this event is educational in nature, we ask you please leave your furry friends at home.

We will meet at our table and banner at 2 pm on the front side of the Carillon, facing Blanton Avenue. Advance registration is appreciated, but not required, through this link:
