Charlottesville! We understand that this ice is tougher than your average snowfall – but, sidewalks still need clearing for your safety, your neighbor’s safety, and our children’s safety. That’s why we are working to provide you with additional resources.
We have partnered with the United Way to try to identify volunteers to help senior citizens and individuals with limited mobility throughout the City clear their sidewalks.
For those who need help with snow/ ice removal, please call (434) 972-1702 to request assistance. We will do our best to identify a volunteer to help and to notify you when the volunteer(s) will arrive.
Also, We are urgently seeking community volunteers to help with snow removal for senior citizens and individuals with limited mobility throughout the City of Charlottesville. If you can help or wish to learn more, please visit this link:

We’re still asking neighbors to grab a shovel and lend a hand to those who may be struggling to clear snow and ice. Together, we can get the City back up in running at full capacity.
A little shoveling goes a long way—thanks for showing up for your neighbors. 💙
