Happy June! I hope y'all are ready for the summer vibes headed our way because I know I am. Take a careful look at the meetings for this month because some are not happening this month, that usually do. Also, our librarian is not going to be at this month's in-person craft in.

Here's a show and tell from one our guild members. Below is her description of the dress and coasters that we see here.

Helen Joyce is the little dress that I just finished for my granddaughter.
Pattern is Helen Joyce by Taiga Hilliard Designs. It is available on Ravelry. I added two rows of seed stitch at the sleeves and 6 extra rows at the bottom hem.

Coasters are the result of a Knitting Study Group exercise. We all tried garter stitch intarsia, and I made a set of fulled coasters from my swatches.

What I learned from the exercise:
1. How to properly lay colors over or under each other when making color changes on R vs W side so that they don't show through to the front.
2. I would much prefer to carry floats along the back if there are short (3 or fewer stitches) color blocks rather than use intarsia.
3. Next time I full items in a set, I will full them all at the same time!!!!

Happy May all! I’m a little late with this one but I hope you all were able to make it to the guild craft in today! And if not, that you were able to make it to Maryland Sheep and Wool 🤩. I know a lot of our guild mates were planning on being there. Please note that there is no Knitting Study Group or Fleece and Fiber Prep Study Group this month. They are supposed to resume in June. Happy crafting!!
