Virginia is re-joining a regional program to reduce carbon pollution! The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative ( ) helps lower costs for Virginians by investing directly back into our communities.

RGGI revenues fund critical, cost-saving energy efficiency programs for families who shoulder the highest energy burdens.

Virginia’s landmark return to a regional carbon cutting program promises to protect more people across the state from pollution and the worst effects of climate change, but this victory didn’t come without some major bumps along the way. When former state leaders withdrew the Commonwealth from t...

There are numerous benefits to switching to an electric school bus, but one of the top benefits is improving students’ health. Regular diesel school buses produce emissions that can harm the health of the community, not just the students. Making the switch will help save money and could even help save lives!

Looking for a way to protect your wallet against rising gas prices? Buying an EV could be the answer you’ve been searching for!

While roughly $3 of every $4 gallon of gas is lost as waste heat, EVs use about 90% of their energy to actually move the car. That efficiency gap translates directly to your wallet.

The future of driving isn't just cleaner, it's smarter and more affordable! 🚗💡

Here’s the answer for every U.S. state.

What if your car could earn money while it sat parked? ⚡

In Massachusetts, starting this summer, three electric school buses in Acton-Boxborough will keep working even after the kids are off for break.

Here is how it works. The buses charge up overnight, when power is cleanest and cheapest. Then on hot afternoons when the grid is stretched thin, they send that stored energy back from 4 to 7 p.m.

This is called vehicle-to-grid. The school district can earn money for the power it shares. Leaning less on polluting peaker plants also helps keep bills lower for everyone, not just EV owners. And the kids get quieter rides with no diesel fumes.

So here is our question. If your car could power your home or send energy back to your neighborhood, would you plug in? Tell us in the comments. 👇

Congratulations to the 5 Pennsylvania school projects recently awarded a combined $1.9+ million to install solar panels through the state’s Solar for Schools grant program! ☀️🏫

The projects will save these schools hundreds of thousands of dollars in electricity costs every year, keeping funds where they belong: in the classroom.

Your school could be next! 💡 Generation180 offers free solar feasibility studies to help school districts explore their options and get ready to apply for future funding.

Vehicles are changing how we fuel up, and clean energy should stay accessible for everyone making that shift. A proposed federal bill would add new annual road-use fees for EV and plug-in hybrid owners starting this October. The Charge Coalition has a petition calling on Congress to oppose these fees.
