Sisters Conquering Cancer Inc. We are “Conquerors” because we have not only survived, but we are victorious in this battle against cancer.

Sisters Conquering Cancer was founded in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2009 by a group of African American women dedicated to increasing cancer awareness in the African American community. Women who have been diagnosed with cancer and women who support/advocate for individuals with cancer work together in Sisters Conquering Cancer developing projects and activities that support, educate, and connect with the community.

Sisters Conquering Cancer is looking for space to host an event for 40-50 people on October 17 with possible time taking place from 10 am - 2 pm.

We would like to know if there is any business that would be willing to donate community space to help us put on this event.

Sisters Conquering Cancer Inc. will participate in the Juneteenth Parade Saturday June 17 starting at 9 am. Pictures will follow.

Saturday, June 17, 2023

The parade will begin at 9am from the Jackson P. Burley parking lot and conclude at JSAAHC Front Lawn. Black business vendors, food, an ancestral tribute, and music will happen on the main stage until 3pm. This is an African Diaspora Community Event for direct participants. Broader community viewing participation is welcomed.
