Tea Dance 2026 is a wrap, and we are still feeling it. 🌈

The sunshine. The music. The local q***r vendors. The conversations that started between strangers and ended with numbers saved in phones and plans to come back next time.

This is exactly what Out and About VA exists to create. Consistent, welcoming spaces where the q***r community in Charlottesville can actually find each other. And every year the Tea Dance reminds us why it is worth doing.

Every single person here chose to show up. And because they did, this community got a little bigger, a little warmer, and a little more like home for someone who needed it.

Out and About VA runs on people who care. The ones who come back every month. The ones who bring a friend for the first time. The ones who leave a donation at the door because they understand what it means for everything we do next.

Free HIV testing. Food drives. Consistent, welcoming spaces every single month. None of it happens without this community choosing to invest in it.
