I’m truly honored to be featured in Vinegar Hill Magazine and to become part of a legacy that has highlighted and celebrated so many incredible community leaders.

This recognition is especially meaningful because of my relationship with the late Eddie Harris—my mentor, my brother, and forever friend. As the founder of Vinegar Hill Magazine, Eddie understood the power of telling our stories and ensuring that the people doing meaningful work in our communities were seen, heard, and celebrated.

To now be part of this magazine’s legacy and alumni alongside so many individuals who have helped shape our community is something I do not take lightly.

Thank you, Sarad Davenport and the Vinegar Hill Magazine family, for this honor.

And Eddie—thank you for believing in me, pouring into me, and constantly reminding me that the work is always bigger than the individual. It was never just about me. It has always been about WE.

Let’s come together, share resources, support one another, and continue building safer, stronger communities! 🙌🏾

🔥 We’re kicking things off with Reentry Day — featuring powerful panel discussions and conversations focused on strengthening our community.

Then we’ll close out the day with the Fall Edition One Stop Shop, bringing together FREE resources, services, food, music, and community support ALL IN ONE PLACE!

🔥 THANK YOU, CHARLOTTESVILLE! 🔥

What a day! Thank you to every volunteer, service provider, sponsor, vendor, community partner, and community member who helped make our Youth One Stop Shop a success. Your commitment continues to show what's possible when we come together for our young people.

It made the day even more meaningful to have my daughter in town to witness it all. If you look closely, you'll see her standing behind me fanning me because she didn't want her daddy's neck sweating on camera. 😂 That's love!

Thank you for believing in this work and in our community. We're just getting started.

Mark your calendars—our next One Stop Shop is September 24. I can't wait to see everyone there as we continue connecting people to hope, opportunity, and resources.
