Thank you to everyone who came out for the Fall Activities Fair today! We hope you were able to find some CIOs that interested you, and we especially hope that we are on that list! Our general membership applications are now open for both new and returning members. The application is available both on our website and in the link in bio. Feel free to explore our website to learn more about each committee and the application process!

The finalised map for the fall activities fair is here!!

We’re excited to welcome everyone to Grounds this Monday, August 24th, from 11 AM–3 PM!

Check out the map to find 550 different UVA organizations and plan your visit. Please note that a few organizations are located in a different section than their designated category, marked with an asterisk (*) on the map.

We also know that many organizations were placed on the waitlist or were unable to attend this year. Be sure to explore Hoos Involved to discover organizations you may be interested in that aren’t at the fair! You may also see students flyering and promoting their orgs throughout the fair, so keep an eye out for new opportunities to get involved.

Come join us for the Fall Activities Fair this Monday, August 24th from 11:00am to 3:00pm at the Amphitheater, South Lawn, and Peabody Lawn! The first 300 students will receive a tote bag and the first 1000 students can get a free scoop of Chaps ice cream. It’s a great chance to learn about all of the amazing opportunities the 800+ CIOs across grounds have to offer! We can’t wait to see you there!!!

This kick-off event marks the beginning of a long-term initiative with CPD, ACPD, and UPD centered on transparent dialogue and community-building. Next school year, Student Council is launching a Community Engagement Dialogue Series, led by dialogue facilitators, to create structured space for open conversation between students and law enforcement.

Our anonymous temperature check survey is also live (link in bio). We’re collecting feedback from students, faculty, and community members to guide future programming and ensure there is a channel for anonymous input.

UVA Student Council is committed to strengthening trust, improving relationships, and creating space for honest dialogue between the UVA community and local law enforcement.

Join us this Wednesday on the South Lawn to meet local officers, ask questions, and grab a caffeinated drink. Coffee, Monster Energy, Celsius, and Alani Nu will be provided. If you have ideas, concerns, or comments, reach out to [email protected]
