It is for anyone 14 years old or older who is interested in rehearsing and performing concert band music. The band was established in 2013 by an arm of the CanDo community development organization. Now entering its third year of performances, the band has performed regularly at the Charlotte Performing Arts Center, and has played annually at the Lawrence Avenue Methodist Church in June as part of

the "Celebrate Charlotte" festival. The band has also played in Battle Creek, MI with the Cereal City Concert Band, and at the Red Cedar Festival of Community Bands in Okemos, MI. In the spring of 2014 the band performed the North American debut of "Festers de San Blas" by Spanish composer Pedro Tort Blasco.
