Big Hearts Big Barks Foundation The Foundation’s mission is to raise funds to support the efforts of underfunded non-profit dog rescue organizations.

Big Hearts Big Barks Foundation was created from Carolina Big Hearts Big Barks Rescue. The Foundation’s mission is to raise funds to support the rescue efforts of underfunded animal shelters and reputable rescues as well as provide community outreach to spay and neuter dogs in need preventing unwanted litters contributing to the dog over population. • Raise muc

h needed funds to help underfunded rural animal shelters in need, helping them with vetting, supplies and maintenance costs.
• Community outreach program targeting owners with dogs in need of vaccinations, spay/neuter services and supplies enabling dog owners to be able to keep their family members and reducing the number of unwanted litters that contribute to the dog over population problem.
• Partner with reputable rescue organizations to find fosters and provide vetting funds for dogs in need.
• Implement quarterly fund raisers that will support a different non-profit organization tied to dog rescue.
• Establish a college scholarship program for teens who have shown initiative through their high school years of making a difference in the lives of animals in need with a passion to continue rescue efforts later in life.
• Support organizations who train rescue dogs to be emotional support dogs for veterans with PTSD.

🐶 Paws Up Rescue LLC → 21 surgeries completed!
🐾 Spay Neuter NC, Inc. → 25 surgeries completed + 32 more already scheduled!

Our Story

Founded in July 2015, Carolina Big Hearts Big Barks is Non-Profit 501c3 Rescue dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of large breed dogs. Since our founding we are proud to say we’ve rescued over 500 dogs.

CBHBB is located in the Greater Charlotte NC area. While we do not have a shelter location, all of our dogs in the rescue are with loving fosters who want to help these wonderful dogs get ready for their forever homes. The dogs with our rescue come from shelters, are owner surrenders or strays who have been confirmed by animal control to not missing by their owners. All dogs are provided full age appropriate vetting including up to date vaccinations, spay or neuter and microchip as well as any other medical needs they may have including treatment for heartworms. Our adoption fee is $250.
