Participants joined together for a point-to-point 1.5 mile swim starting at Little Marina Green and finishing in Aquatic Park. Over $520k (and counting!) has been raised to support cancer research at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals. 🩵

Looking back on an incredible event with SAA-Rhode Island 💙

Over 900 swimmers joined together at Roger Wheeler State Beach in Narragansett to participate in Swim Across America's largest event. This year's open water swim was full of energy as participants spent the morning making a difference for Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, with $336k raised.

Making Waves for cancer detection. Swim Across America is honored to be named a Founding Member of the Texas Cancer Interception Institute (TCII) at Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas, Texas. The TCII supports national efforts to reduce cancer mortality rates by 50% over the next 25 years by focusing on one of the most effective strategies in cancer care: earlier detection.

Since 2001, the SAA-Dallas community has raised over $3 million to fund early detection and innovative clinical trials at Baylor Scott & White. We are proud to be Founding Members of this groundbreaking effort to improve outcomes and give more patients hope.

We had such a great day at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Olympians Megan Neyer, Geoff Gaberino, and Nei-Kwan Chia brought Dash the Dolphin plushies and smiles to patients.

Marc Winne from WSB-TV also joined us to share about our Swim Across America - Atlanta event this weekend and the impact it makes on the patients and the research that we support.

Today, we are featuring Steven from our Swim Across America - Dallas community for our Wednesday.

When Steven Carroll arrives at Swim Across America – Dallas this year, he won’t be diving into the water. Instead, he’ll be behind the microphone as the event DJ, helping create an atmosphere of celebration, hope, and inspiration for everyone to enjoy. In July 2022, Steven was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Since his diagnosis, he has undergone a stem cell transplant, countless treatments and continues to receive monthly care. Thanks to advances in cancer research, he’s able to spend more time with his wife, Donna, their children, grandson and loved ones.

Thank you, Steven for not only bringing the energy to our SAA-Dallas community, but for fighting so hard through your treatment and inspiring each of us.

Introducing: the Swim Across America Hematology and Oncology Translational Research Laboratory! ✨

Last night, Swim Across America was honored with a lab naming dedication at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute and a tour of the Swim Across America Hematology and Oncology Translational Research Laboratory.

Thank you to Atrium Health Foundation for such an incredible celebration and the partnership over the past 10 years and over $1.4 million granted - we are lucky to work with every one of you.

The designation marks the 10th named Swim Across America cancer research laboratory in the country. It is an honor to celebrate each of the accomplishments of our community in such a big way!

This year’s third annual Boise Swim, benefiting St. Luke’s Cancer Institute for the second consecutive year, was another great success. Congratulations, Swim Across America - Boise for a total of $36k (and counting!) ❤️

The weekend kicked off with a wonderful hospital visit to St. Luke’s, featuring special guest Luke Hobson, who spent time with the children and helped hand out our Dash the Dolphin plushies 🐬
