Educating World Changers Seeds of Hope is a Charlotte-based nonprofit focused on walking with students as they navigate life after high school.

Seeds of Hope’s mission is to empower young leaders through educational scholarships and faith based support to help them achieve their dreams and improve our communities and the world. We don't just prepare scholars for college-we help them grow in every area of life: academically, spiritually, professionally, and personally. Congratulations 🌟

Congratulations to Jiaya Smith, a 2026 Seeds of Hope Scholar!

Jiaya received a $20,000 scholarship and will attend North Carolina Central University, where she plans to pursue a double major in Business and Elementary Education.

Her goal is to become an elementary school teacher who inspires confidence, encourages growth, and helps students reach their full potential. In the future, she hopes to use both her education and business background to serve in school leadership or open an educational learning center.

We met Jiaya through our valued community partner, Goal Achievers, and are excited to walk alongside her as she begins her college journey.

Congratulations, Jiaya! We can't wait to see all you accomplish.

Congratulations to Naszir Smalls, a 2026 Seeds of Hope Scholar!

Naszir received a $20,000 scholarship and will attend North Carolina A&T State University, where he plans to study Biology on a path toward becoming an optometrist.

With an outstanding 4.8 GPA in high school, Naszir has demonstrated dedication, hard work, and a commitment to excellence. His desire is to become who God has called him to be while pursuing a career that will allow him to serve others.

We are proud to support Naszir as he begins this exciting new chapter and look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes.

Graduate 🎓

Congratulations to Semaj!

Semaj earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business. She completed her undergraduate degree in just three years at East Carolina University and will continue there as she pursues her Master's degree.

During her time in college, Semaj earned a place on the Chancellor's List, served as a Resident Assistant, participated in numerous campus programs, and had the opportunity to study abroad in both Japan and France.

We are so proud of all that Semaj has accomplished. Her dedication, leadership, and willingness to embrace new experiences have been inspiring to watch. We cannot wait to see what this next chapter holds for her.

Congratulations to Angel Arano-Lagunes, a 2026 Seeds of Hope Scholar!

Angel received a $20,000 scholarship from Seeds of Hope and will be attending UNC Greensboro, where he plans to study Biology on a pre pharmacy path.

His passion for healthcare and interest in pharmaceutical pricing reflect his desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

We met Angel through our valued community partner, Urban Promise, and are grateful for the opportunity to support him as he begins his college journey.

Michelle graduated from Central Piedmont Community College with a degree in Marketing.

Congratulations Jaime Villagomez Herrera, a 2026 Seeds of Hope Scholar!

Jaime received a $20,000 scholarship! He plans to attend The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and study Finance. Jaime is passionate about pathways to help people manage and understand money responsibly. Being bilingual is one way he especially hopes to educate across different communities in financial literacy.

Seeds of Hope met Jaime through our community partner . Jaime has enjoyed being a student leader and all that he has been able to enjoy and experience at Urban Promise.

Meet Landan Carr.

Landan is a student at NC A&T State University, majoring in Psychology. During his freshman year, he earned Dean’s List honors and maintained a 3.0 GPA.

He will also be interning this summer in the film department at Lavner Education Summer STEM Camp at Davidson College.

We are proud to see Landan continue growing academically and stepping into new opportunities.
