Stonewall Sports - Charlotte Stonewall Sports Charlotte, founded in May 2014 is, an LGBTQ+ and Ally not-for-profit sports league. Posts will remain pending until a page admin approves them.

We strive to develop a well-connected and diverse community through organized competition and social or fundraising events in the greater Charlotte area. Our Vision: That every person should have the ability to feel comfortable playing organized sports. We also believe that organized groups have the ability and responsibility to support and give back to our community. Stonewall Sports Charlotte is a chapter of Stonewall Sports. 🌈Today we celebrate National Coming Out Day by amplifying our stories and/or listening to others tell their stories. We have so much to be thankful for and more on the horizon. Stonewall Sports Charlotte started in 2014 to give a home to LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to play sports together and build a community. Here we are many years later and have grown so much, from one sport to SO MANY and possibly more coming soon. Not to mention the friendships, partnerships, and community we have built together.

If you are not out or do not feel safe to do so, we certainly understand and encourage you to do what feels right to you. We are here regardless and welcome you into our sports organization with open arms. For those few times a week with us, you can be anything you like and we accept you.

A quote that I like about coming out comes from Tom Daley in 2013, "Now that everyone knows, I have nothing to hide, those chains that I felt wrapped around me are gone and I can carry on with my life as normal and be happy."

Are you sad about the rain this weekend? Wanna play a sport that is indoors, low impact, and a blast. Take these guys word for it and experience all the emotions of Team Pickleball! Registration opens Sunday at midnight and fills fast so make sure you are ready with your teammates. Or sign up as a free agent and find your team later.

🥒 $55 per player + processing fee

Season is 5 weeks long and a wonderful time to show off those choregraphed moves you've been planning with friends. We wanna see your dance moves on the court and a winning attitude. Bonus points might be give out based on the best dance moves.

Today is World Mental Health Day! While is great for the physical body, we can't forget to take care of our mental health as well.

To be honest, with everything going on right now, taking some time for yourself and checking on your friends and family is a great idea. Our community is here for you beyond sports so come join us for some sports but also take care of yourself and reach out within the community to make connections with others.

🌽 Today is the tournament and it's for all the corn! Don't worry if you didn't qualify for the tournament. We will still have the boards out and available for matches. So show up and have some fun. Watch the tournament and cheer on your favorite ears.

While we can't always get the bag in the hole, we look good while doing so. For some it comes so easily, while other suffer the defeat of missing the board. No matter what your skill level, we love seeing you there. Come join us for some food, drinks, light heckling, and building community.

We'll be at Heist Brewery and Barrel Arts today from 12 - 2PM. Just look for the sea of multi-colored shirts on.

We are looking forward to this season and the exciting adventures ahead. Make sure to thank our volunteer leadership for making this all possible. Without them and y'all our community would be a little less corny.

As with all of our other sports this fall we are having a problem with roaming sock gangs. They are known to cause issues by jumping onto the feet of anyone not already wearing fun socks. So if you're wearing some generic white or single colored socks... you might not be when you leave. These socks are known to tackle people and put themselves on your feet. Theories are they just want you to be whimsical, fun, and warm but we may never know. The best defense is always a good offense though, so wear your own fun socks to show them you are fun and whimsical on your own.

Bowling tonight at AMF University Lanes from 7-9pm.

Not bowling this season, come join us for some fun and community building anyways. We love to meet new people and maybe you'll join us next season. Also if there's any free lanes... maybe do some bowling yourself?

We understand this pickleball season and honestly this long summer into fall has been stressful so we're bringing out the cuddle puppies. They will be with us tonight in spirit for all your imaginary pets and cuddles. They are excellent at their jobs and we know this imaginary stress relief will be just what the doctor ordered.

Remember, this season we will be indoors and outdoors. Check-in is still upstairs though so arrive early to make sure you get in the rotation and find out where you'll be.

Games start promptly at 7:30pm at Pickleball Charlotte - Sharon Lakes. Make sure you give yourself enough time to find parking and get checked in or pick up your shirt.

We are excited for this season and everyone playing at the same time again. Good luck out there pickles! We know you'll have a brine time!

Well the wigs seemed like a hit! Think y'all can keep this going for another week? This is the last week, so y'all should be able to go hard! Tonight is Rainbow Rallies so break out those rainbows and wear them proudly! We want a sea of color on those courts! As an added bonus (good or bad) our balls will be preloaded with rainbow glitter. Our hope is that this will leave a rainbow and trail of color as you hit it.

Social Pickleball happens from 7:30 - 9:30pm at Pickleball Charlotte - Northlake. All are welcome but only registered players can take the court.

On World Teacher's Day, we celebrate those who have decided their profession will be to teach to the young, old, and in-between. Without them our society would be severely lacking in many ways. Thank you for being self-less each and everyday and putting up with students who love to learn but may just be frustrated it doesn't come easy.

Stonewall Sports - Charlotte is happy to have you in our community and participate in our sports and organization. Keep up the good work and know that we appreciate you immensely.

Welp, we got those pesky socks under control... sadly just like in pickleball the hats want to play as well. So we now have rogue hats on the fields. Remember to protect your heads by wearing your own hat or wig today! We take no responsibility for the silly or awesome hat/wig you take home if you don't protect your head!

Games are held in Veterans Park from 11:30-3:30pm.

Not a player but want to join us? Consider bringing a blanket or picnic and hanging out with us for some fun in the sun. And consider fueling up before or after the game at our sponsor just down the road, Plot Twist. They make some delicious drinks and have a great atmosphere.
