Stonewall Sports - Charlotte Stonewall Sports Charlotte, founded in May 2014 is, an LGBTQ+ and Ally not-for-profit sports league. Posts will remain pending until a page admin approves them.

We strive to develop a well-connected and diverse community through organized competition and social or fundraising events in the greater Charlotte area. Our Vision: That every person should have the ability to feel comfortable playing organized sports. We also believe that organized groups have the ability and responsibility to support and give back to our community. Stonewall Sports Charlotte is

a chapter of Stonewall Sports. Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren't allowed on our page. Bullying isn't allowed, and degrading comments about race, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated. Let's treat everyone with respect.

Pickleball isn't quite back yet but never fear we will be back pickling soon enough.

Pickleball 101 is this coming Sunday, August 23, for anyone who wants to learn or brush up on their skills before the season starts. We'll be at Pickleball Charlotte - Sharon Lakes location from 11-1pm. Feel free to stop by and learn the game with us.

Is it really called Puckleball?
Do we actually play while dressed as pickles?
Does it hurt to get hit with the pickle?

Come find out and have a fun day building community with others. We'll have players to teach you those tricky moves, like how to hit the ball. Or the more advanced move of determining if the ball hit the line or not.

Charlotte Pride might be over but it never ends in our hearts. We had such a fun time and saw so many Stonewall Sports Charlotte people at the festival this year. It sure was hot but that just meant we all sparkled like vampires! 🦇

As Tammy Baldwin expresses "There will not be a magic day when we wake up and it’s now okay to express ourselves publicly. We make that day by doing things publicly until it’s simply the way things are."

So keep the momentum going and the community growing as we continue through the year. There's lots of change still needed in our community and the only way we can accomplish it is by working and building our community together.

Let this weekend recharge your soul and reinvigorate you to continue the fight for our continued acceptance and rights, however that fight looks to you.

Charlotte Pride Festival is happening today and tomorrow. Are you ready? Events are happening all weekend culminating with the famous parade on Sunday. Whatever events and social gatherings you choose to participate in, we hope you have a wonderful, safe, and powerful pride weekend here in Charlotte.

Kamala Harris has some wise words for us, "Being an ally can’t just be about nodding when someone says something we agree with – important as that is. It must also be about action. It’s our job to stand up for those who are not at the table when life-altering decisions are made."

While tomorrow is officially National Relaxation Day, we are moving it forward by one day cause we know y'all will not be relaxed tomorrow. After all the Charlotte Pride Festival starts today and that's gonna mean a weekend full of festivities and very little relaxation.

Today and everyday remember the words of Audre Lorde, "Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare." So remember to sprinkle a little relaxation into the weekend and drink plenty of water. Be good to yourself and enjoy yourself.

We wish you a Happy Pride and hope you have a wonderful time celebrating with the community and have the most q***r and gay time!

🔧 Dodgeball playoffs are tonight. Who will win? Who will have the most fun? Who will let us know how we did this season?

Join us as teams and individuals face off tonight in fun and slightly competitive games to determine the champions.

Make sure to look on League Apps for the most up to date schedule. Games are held at Pritchard on Southend from 7:000-9:00pm. Arrive early to get some practice in and warm up.

Registration for co****le and kickball ends this Sunday, August 16th, at midnight for our fall season. Will you be playing with us?

Have you registered for Kickball yet? What are you waiting on? Oh I know, you need a preview of the sport! Well today from 12-2pm, join us at Veterans Park off Central Avenue to give kickball a try with no commitment!

Registration is open for one more week, until August 16th at midnight, so hop to it and get registered.
Or just come spend a day with friends playing kickball with us for free.
Either way, it's gonna be a blast and a great way to start off Charlotte Pride Week!

🐥 Regular - $35 per player + processing fee
🍗 Late (Aug. 15/16) - $40 per player + processing fee

Did you register for kickball as a free agent? Are you a captain looking for more players for your squad? Come on out to Plot Twist on Sunday, August 9th right after Kickball 101 from 2:30-4:30pm to find your teammates.

We've got a huge number of players looking for their new team, so don't miss out. Who knows there might be a new Free Agent team created that form lifelong bonds together.
