ANSWER Scholarship ANSWER is a 501c3. We are celebrating 20 years in 2026. The idea for ANSWER Scholarship began years ago. From that desire, ANSWER was born.

Our mission: To mentor and prepare mothers of school age children to achieve a college education and inspire them to be role models of academic, personal, and professional success for their children. Susan Andersen put herself through college and was grateful to receive a four-year partial scholarship from a Charlotte organization. She vowed to give back one day to the community that believed in her. Many others have joined what Susan began. ANSWER has awarded $532 in scholarships to 101 mothers so far thanks to gifts from individuals, organizations, and houses of worship. We've helped remarkable mothers in the Charlotte region earn college degrees and become strong and self-supporting. Their children are inspired to follow their moms' example and work harder in school. We invite you to learn more about our work. 💻 Celebrating Ada Lovelace Day!

Did you know that Ada Lovelace (1815–1852) is widely recognized as the world’s first computer programmer?

An English mathematician and visionary, Ada worked with Charles Babbage on his design for a mechanical computer. She published an algorithm intended for the machine and imagined a future in which computers could do far more than calculate numbers, they could create music, art, and so much more.

Her story reminds us what can happen when curiosity, education, and imagination come together.

Today, we celebrate Ada and all the women who are pushing boundaries, pursuing their passions, and opening doors for future generations.

At ANSWER Scholarship, we believe every mom deserves the opportunity to pursue her education and build a brighter future for her family. Because when you educate a mom, you educate her children. 💜
