Last week, we celebrated the opening of the Heineman-Robicsek Foundation Outreach Logistics Center, made possible by the extraordinary generosity of the Bissell family.

Because of their donation, this new warehouse will enable lifesaving medical equipment and supplies to reach hospitals and clinics that might otherwise go without.

For years, the Bissell family, based in Charlotte, NC, has stood alongside HRF to help bring hope, healing, and health to thousands in need in Central America. Their support has included the donation of four cardiac catheterization labs across four countries, a mobile medical clinic, and so much more.

Our heartfelt thanks to H.C. “Smoky” Bissell and his wife Margaret as well as James “JJ” Bissell and his wife Nicole for their unwavering commitment to furthering the mission of HRF.

Yesterday, the Heineman-Robicsek Foundation celebrated the opening of our new warehouse in North Carolina. This is an important step forward in expanding our ability to serve communities in Latin America.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Lucrecia Peinado, the First Lady of Guatemala, as part of this special occasion, underscoring the global impact of this milestone and our mission.

With increased space to store donations, medical supplies, and critical equipment, this facility strengthens our ability to deliver life-saving resources where they’re needed most.

As always, thanks to Atrium Health for the donations and Chiquita for providing the shipping containers that will help move pallets of critical supplies from our new warehouse to the countries we serve. And thanks to all our partners and supporters who make progress like this possible.
