A note from Angela Burrow after the latest Dementia Friends session.... It is so encouraging to read the participants' feedback. Maury says, "Because of my own fears I have avoided learning more about dementia. That is going to change for me! One of my friends has recently been diagnosed with dementia. I have been avoiding her because of my lack of knowledge. l am going to reconnect with her and be a Dementia Friend".

Dementia Champion, Angela Burrow, returned to Matthews Glen retirement community to create 41 new Dementia Friends in Charlotte Mecklenburg! Lots of interest, questions and suggestions from the Residents to raise awareness and be supportive of their neighbors, staff and families living with, and caring for, those with dementia.
