Charlotte Master Chorale

Charlotte Master Chorale Inspiring unity in our community through extraordinary performances of diverse music.

09/30/2026

We asked members of the Charlotte Master Chorale Chamber Singers to share what this music has asked of them.

Because poor hymnal isn’t only something to listen to.

It’s something to wrestle with.

To carry with you.

To live.

Join us. Come listen. Come consider. Come be part of the conversation.

Some of us are teachers.
Some of us are bakers.
Some of us are artists.
Some of us are parents, students, nurses, writers, neighbors, leaders, and lifelong music lovers.

We come from different places, different professions, different stories, and different seasons of life. But when we gather to sing, something beautiful happens: all of those individual lives become one shared sound.

That is the heart of the Charlotte Master Chorale Chamber Singers. We are each different, and the music makes room for all of it.

Voices. Stories. Community. Harmony.

Come hear what happens when we bring it all together.

Thank you, Charlotte.

Charlotte Sings! was a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community comes together and raises its voice.

To every choir, singer, director, volunteer, audience member, friend, and supporter who helped make this concert possible: thank you. Your presence filled the room with joy, connection, and the kind of energy that only live music can create.

This concert was about more than one performance. It was about celebrating the many voices that make our city sing, honoring the love of music we share, and supporting the next generation of choral artists through CMS Choral Music Education programs.

We are so grateful to be part of a community that believes in gathering, listening, singing, and lifting one another up.

Thank you for singing with us, Charlotte.

Thank you, Charlotte.

On Friday evening, we gathered in remembrance, reflection, and unity for Mozart’s Requiem: A 9/11 Memorial Concert. It was a deeply moving night, and we are grateful to everyone who joined us in holding space for memory, healing, and community.

Our heartfelt thanks to our collaborators at and for joining us for this powerful evening, and to the city of Charlotte for showing up with such openness, reverence, and care.

Music has a way of helping us carry what words cannot. Thank you for sharing that space with us.

Some music asks us to pause.

Today, Friday, September 11, , , and Charlotte Master Chorale come together for Mozart’s Requiem: A 9/11 Memorial Concert at Knight Theater.

As we mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11, this performance offers space to remember, reflect, and gather as one community. Mozart’s Requiem and Ave verum corpus give voice to what can be hard to put into words: grief, hope, healing, and the quiet strength we find in one another.

Join us for an evening of music, remembrance, and unity.
